Challenge

Linctagon is one of South Africa's well-known Cold and Flu remedies. We were tasked to develop and manage their digital campaign for 2023, as we also managed this in previous years with great growth figures. Linctagon retails its products in key pharmacy and retail chains and the product is available online through food and retail delivery services.

Solution

We developed a creative concept "Take Back Your Winter" and implemented a strategy to dominate the landscape when consumers looked for or researched cold and flu remedies. This included: Display, Video, and Programmatic advertising based on search behavior. YouTube advertising is based on search terms and content views. Social Media Marketing & Paid Social Advertising on our platforms and with retail partners. Advertising and keyword advertising with key retail partners.

Challenge

Premier Hotels, an independent South African hotel group, struggled with third-party booking platforms dominating the leisure travel industry. These platforms charged high commissions and retained customer data, limiting Premier Hotels' ability to build loyalty and remarket effectively. The challenge was to increase direct bookings through their website, reducing dependence on third-party platforms while attracting high-intent, location-specific South African travellers.

Solution

Premier Hotels analysed search terms and gaps where third-party platforms were less competitive. They targeted location-specific keywords like “Places to stay near Long Street,” avoiding broad terms such as “Hotels in Cape Town.” Campaigns were geo-targeted to South African travellers, and search ads were integrated with the hotel’s booking system to track direct conversions. Seasonal campaigns, A/B testing, and focus on conferencing further optimised results.

Result

With a total paid search budget of R528,010, Premier Hotels achieved R22 million in direct bookings through their website, delivering an astounding 4080.6% return on investment. This success was tracked via their integrated booking system, which provided real-time insights into campaign performance. The strategy reduced reliance on third-party platforms, increased first-party data collection, and boosted customer loyalty through targeted, data-driven campaigns.

Challenge

Car Service City, a South African car service franchise, needed to modernise its brand and appeal to tech-savvy consumers while addressing trust issues in a market full of unreliable mechanics. Additionally, the brand faced inefficiencies in responding to customer quote requests, contacting only 38% of leads. The challenge was to rebrand effectively, increase quote contact ability to 100%, and position the brand as a trustworthy, modern service provider for all vehicle types, including hybrids.

Solution

Car Service City rebranded with a trust-focused message, launching the "Experts You Can Trust" campaign supported by humoristic ads highlighting their nationwide footprint, guarantees, and ability to service all car types. The strategy integrated SEO, Google Ads, TikTok, and YouTube to build awareness, while OOH billboards and geo-targeted ads drove local impact. A new AI-powered pricing portal and Quick Quote system automated responses, enabling 100% contactability for customer quote requests.

Result

Car Service City achieved record turnover months, with a 27.34% increase in sales, 17,360 quote submissions, and a 47% rise in search volume. The rebrand successfully positioned the franchise as a modern and trusted service provider, surpassing competitors in digital analytics. The AI-powered Quick Quote system significantly enhanced customer experience and efficiency, turning Car Service City into a top-of-mind choice for vehicle owners across South Africa.
